Speaker bio:
Fernando Liano joined the City of El Paso in 2018 as Sustainability Coordinator after working in the private sector for more than 10 years in the fields of energy efficiency, climate change, and sustainability. He currently oversees sustainability and resilience projects for El Paso, including energy audits, energy management and renewable energy assessments. He has been involved in technical assistance projects in climate change mitigation and adaptation, sustainability, and energy efficiency for public and private institutions in Latin America, the Caribbean, Europe and Asia. A Spain native, Fernando holds a Masters in Agricultural Engineering from the Universidad Politecnica de Madrid and is a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) and Certified Measurement and Verification professional (CMVP) by the Association of Energy Engineers
